Our arrangements for transition look a little different this year. However, we will still ensure that we get to know your child through detailed conversations with their current teacher, through your child completing our transition booklet ("All About Me") and by meeting you and your child for a short period of time at our school.
In past years we have invited our new pupils to join their new classmates and teachers for a day to get to know their way around the school and to begin to feel at ease. This year such a day is not possible as our school is still operating for children of Critical Workers and Vulnerable Pupils and for half of our Year 6 and Year 5 pupils. We are now operating at level we feel minimises risks and has due regards for the safety of our pupils and our staff - the current government guidance does not allow us to feel it is safe to add more "bubbles."
In order to give you and your child a taste of Holland and the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, we invite you to come along at an allocated date and time to join Miss Robertson for an informal meeting on the school field with a cup of tea and cake. In order to keep these outdoor gatherings as small as possible (thereby aiming to keep us all safe) we can only welcome one child and one parent from each family and no more than three families will be present at any one time. We ask that you please respect the current social distancing rules should you choose to take up our invitation. Suggested dates and times have been sent out to you by letter and we ask you to respond by letting the school office email@example.com know which day and time will suit you best. If you need to change the date and/or time please contact the school office.
