The Tandridge Education Partnership (TEP) exemplifies the essence of genuine partnership working across all phases of education from 0-19 and including the special school sector.  In Tandridge, our 31 schools are committed to working collaboratively to ensure the highest quality of provision for the children, teenagers and young adults who live within our borough. We believe the Partnership is strongest when it works together. It will support confident schools to shape and lead the system together. It will ensure a strong influential voice to staff, students, parents and carers.

As a maintained school in the Surrey County Council Local Authority, we are supported, funded and governed by the guidelines laid down by SCC.  More details can be found here http://www.surreycc.gov.uk/learning.

As well as working collaboratively with local feeder schools to ensure a smooth transition for our new September intake each year, we also support their sports days and share teacher training events to develop and strengthen those relationships.

At the other end of the school, we take part in transition activities with Oxted County School so that our year 5 & 6 children are well prepared for their move to secondary school.

A number of the Oxted year 10 students join us for work experience each year, as well as students from Moor House School.

We use the swimming pool at Moor House as part of our PE curriculum and have shared professional development sessions with their staff in the areas of Special Educational Needs provision.

Recently, we have been in consultation with Limpsfield Grange School to look at the needs of autistic children and how we can work together to support families locally whose children have a wide range of learning needs.

Community links with other organisations

Windmill Manor – The local residential home for the elderly was built in 2011 and named by the children here in HJS.  Since opening, we have shared many events with the residents – some there such as annual sports day, Christmas tree decorating, carol singing, and some here in school when they join us for our Fairtrade sale, the Easter Eggstravaganza and other such events.

The Titsey Rotary Club in Oxted have been supporters of the school for many years and we have benefitted from that support in a variety of ways, such as funded trips for our more vulnerable pupils, special trophies for community service in school and support with school events.
